Equinox

Equinox is a time of equal balance between night and day.

This image echoes that, and with it, the cyclic stability of life being defined....but not confined.  

The painting is on an up-cycled canvas. It was dropped off at my door by a neighbouring teen who felt that what she had painted wasn't working and she needed to let it go.

Paint layers from her story peek through the transparent overlays into today. 

It is acrylic on canvas measuring 402mm high by 305 mm wide and 35 mm deep.

It's ready to hang and varnished for surface and UV protection.
