I love seed pods.
I love their symbolism, their form, and their work in the world.
This paintings was inspired by the seed pods of an Inga bean tree that grows in a local garden.
The tree is native to the Brazilian Amazon and has been used for thousands of years as a snack food in Central and South America.
The seed pods I collected were all different shapes and this one seemed of speak of our human (especially female) energy flow.
The painting is acrylic on canvas 405 mm x 305 mm.
It is varnished with painted edges so is ready to hang.
