Cactus Chorus

I found this great old frame in our local recycle/re-purpose centre complete with a fitted blank canvas. I wanted to paint something specifically for it and a cactus in a terracotta pot seems a perfect match. Somehow the image echoes another era that is resonant with the frame.

Together the combo of recycled funky frame and the cactus subject make this work very current. Perfect for any renovated space or on the wall of an urban jungle. 

I always feel cacti radiate something very clearly so I've surrounded the plant with its energetic broadcast and named the painting The Cactus Chorus. 

The canvas and frame are sealed with UV protective mat varnish so the painting is ready to hang.

The frame measures 500 mm wide x 595 mm high while the canvas insert painting is 420 mm x 320 mm.
